UPDATE: 5/9/09- KFC IS NOW GIVING RAINCHECKS FOR THE FREE MEAL DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND.
Oh My Gosh, I had no idea about this until I read the post from Amy at Webfloss. Apparently the KFC coupons for a FREE Two piece meal caused a crazy amount of commotion after the coupon printer stopped working and thousands of people weren’t able to print their coupons! KFC and Oprah had teamed up for this promotion and when things went haywire an Oprah employee (surely fired by now) posted a .pdf copy (UPC 1234) of a coupon which led thousands or more coupons to all had the SAME code. The reason for the coupon printer is that each coupon each has a different code. Tons of people had this coupon “copy” and KFC decided not to honor Internet coupons!!!!
Amy from Webfloss stated that “Sit in’s, racial slurs, and people who actually wanted to pay for chicken, they are facing a potential assault from the crazy-eyed mobs! Witnesses have stated that managers have ran away from local KFC’s screaming, while some have been in the fetal position since opening.” Are you freakin kidding me???
Apparently this insanity has all been fixed and you can now go back to UnthinkKFC and print your coupon. BIG Thanks Oprah and KFC!!!!
