General Mills Table Talk

General Mills Table Talk was even better than I had hoped! There were 25 of us, including Kristin’s adorable Baby Brookie! General Mills invited all of us to the Table Talk event, it was coordinated by My Blog Spark! BTW- The people at General Mills were AMAZING and I loved Allison and Laurie from My Blog Spark! We all had a blast from the second we got there! Above is a pic of all of us right before our dinner cruise on Lake Minnetonka! It was so beautiful and we got to eat Walleye which was delicious! YUMM!

I got to ride with my new pal Lizzy on the plane ride there which was great! We talked non-stop! I’m sure we drove everyone crazy..but no one “shushed” us so that was good! =) Lizzy is awesome, I am so glad that we met! See Lizzy and I below:

Once we got to Minneapolis we met up with a few of the other bloggers and took shuttles to our hotel! We checked out our rooms and then met in the lobby to take a bus ride to the dinner cruise. Some of the lovely folks from General Mills went on the cruise with us and they were so much fun to be around! I bonded with several other bloggers on the cruise…I can see how me and these girls could get into trouble, haha! You know who I am talking about..ahemm…Jennifer, Kate and Julie! after the cruise we were not ready to go to sleep…so we graced Kip’s Pub (in our hotel) with our presence! =) Alot of us hung out there and we talked about all sorts of stuff: blogging, kids and just life in general! Once the pub closed we were of course still talking about way too much…so we moved it on up into a few rooms! BTW-Thanks to David at the Marriot for putting up with us, haha! He was a great sport! I was exhausted the next day, but it was sooo worth it! =)

The next morning we all met in the lobby again to take the bus to the General Mills Headquarters! General Mills is HUGE and it looks like a fabulous place to work. Everyone that we met was incredible nice and just down right cool! They catered to our every need! We ate breakfast and then sat thru a few “meetings”. We got to meet the VP of General Mills and several other awesome employees. We learned about the history of General Mills which was so intriguing! You really should check it out…go here to see the history of General Mills! We broke into groups afterwards and we got to cook in the Betty Crocker Kitchens. My group cooked Double Layer Tacos! We then ate what we cooked and then sampled meals that the other groups cooked! Then…if you can believe it..we ate lunch! I swear if I could have unbuttoned my pants without anyone noticing I would have, haha! I was stuffed to the max!!! We sat thru more meetings and General Mills was so great about wanting our input on things! They really wanted to hear what we had to say which impressed me very much! After that…we sampled MORE FOOD!!!

There is just so much to say about this trip. You’ll see lots more pictures soon to come! It is going to take me forever to download them all! Thank you so much to My Blog Spark for coordinating it all and to General Mills for their hospitality and for inviting us! I know it is a trip I will always remember! Ohh..and I can’t wait to share some of the recipes with you….you’ll just have to stay tuned!

I can’t tell you how much fun Table Talk was…I really was amazed at all of the other bloggers! They were all so sweet! I definitely made some friends for life!!! FYI- You can see more pictures on the Betty Crocker Facebook site.
