i am ALL for freebies & using coupons for some Ahhh-mazing deals!!!!
but isn’t getting 120 sobe waters somewhat excessive??!!! i am sure you wiped out stores so others couldn’t even snag the deal. and is having a water stock pile worth ruining it for others when it makes it’s way around the internet and then the deal and the ability to stack the coupons on it goes away???
i have read other blogs where they say be respectful of the next coupon-er that will shop after you and don’t be the one to wipe the shelf clean….doesn’t seem to apply here…
sure, i did the deal & snagged a respectful 10 free waters. kudos to me & i left plenty for others to enjoy as well…
greed isn’t acceptable, even when its free. sorry & i bet others agree w/ me!!

Great job at CVS with the sobe. Playing the game every day and printing the coupons that they released for winning led me to print over 45 coupons! I redeemed only 22 due to lack of time with work and all but i’m glad somebody got to take advantage of a GREAT offer that is 100% completely legit and available to ANYBODY with a computer and CVS.

How could you ever go wrong with such a great offer?!?!

6 janine July 12, 2010 at 12:35 pm

anyone else score the venus bikini kit? How did you come across that offer? I’d love to try it!

7 Nicole July 12, 2010 at 1:23 pm

How do you get the SOBE water for free with a BOGO coupon?

8 COURTNEY July 12, 2010 at 1:32 pm

Krista, You grabbed 10 waters?! No wonder there were none on the shelf when I went to get mine. You need to limit yourself to one deal. Besides, are you the one who sets the limit rules? From my past experience, the companies do. Stop being the “shelf stocking police”. Thanks so much Brandie for all your hard work and effort and showing us the kind of deals that are out there. I’m all about following the company’s rules with first come, first serve. Way to go Brandie!

To Krista:

I scored 90 Sobe Waters during the CVS sale last week. I went to several different CVS stores and did not wipe any out of their inventory. Brandie is a great person and very respectful, I know she did the same thing I did: Hit different CVS stores so as to NOT deplete their inventory. If I had had more time, I would have gotten more myself. The sale was legitimate, as were the coupons. I am a serious couponer as is Brandie, and we do shop sales respectfully. I believe you are being disrespectful in accusing Brandie of being rude. The limit on the Sobe waters was 6 per transaction, not a limit during the sale. We followed the rules and did legitimate transactions. I actually had a manager at one store where we did 3 transactions at congratulating me and my sister in law about snagging such a good deal. We each bought 18 sobes on that trip, and there were PLENTY left over for others to get if they wanted to. Kudos to you for running your mouth before knowing how we shop.

Krista:
First, I’d like to thank you for taking time to leave your comment. I am very glad you did because I welcome the debate. =) I am a very honest person and do not feel as if I did anything wrong in getting the free Sobe waters.
I do not feel like I abused CVS or Sobe. My coupons were legitimate coupons that I printed from the Sobe Instant Win Game. I have been playing it everyday and printing my coupons. I also did NOT leave any CVS high and dry on Sobe waters. I have more respect for other people than that. I have been couponing for quite a while and I am always respectful of others. I went to 7 different locations to get my Sobes. I spoke with managers at several locations. I only stocked up on Sobes from the CVS’s that had PLENTY in stock. I also did not go to any CVS’s until the LAST day of the sale. The limit was 6 Sobes per transaction. If ANY of the managers had told me that I had gotten enough, I would have been COMPLETELY ok with that, had they been low in stock. In fact, several stores that I went to, the managers APPROVED of the cashier lifting the limit because they had so many in stock and I was able to get more than 6 per transaction (per managers approval!!!). What I did was legal, legitimate and smart and you could have done the same thing.
Kudos to you on getting the 10 free sobes that you got! I am sorry if you feel like I was greedy. I am not a greedy person. I am sharing these Sobes with my whole family. I love sharing deals with my readers. I have NEVER given any of my readers any “shady” advice before and I don’t intend to start now.
Once again, thank you very much for your comment and I am anxious to see what other readers have to say about this as well. =) Happy Couponing!
Sincerely, Brandie

Oh geez….

I usually don’t comment on these things because I end up getting all worked up. However….when I see someone making unfair assumptions about others….I feel the need to say something. Especially when someone is talking about someone as respectful and thoughtful as Brandi.

Excessive is one of those things that is different for everyone. For example, to me, having multiple plastic surgery procedures is excessive; however, there are many people that feel that is just fine. So, it is not up to me to judge what is right (and or excessive) for someone else.

Now, greed is defined as: “a selfish and excessive desire for more of something (as money) than is needed”. How was Brandi selfish here? I don’t think anyone would purposely get more waters that what could be consumed by the expiration date. I also don’t believe an average of 17 waters per store is greedy or excessive either. That’s not much more than the 10 waters you got yourself Krista, no?

Further proof that Brandi is neither greedy or excessive….

1. I know for a fact that Brandi actually gave away coupons at several stores so that others could snag this great deal as well.
2. A greedy person wouldn’t share these great deals on her blog so that others would learn of the opportunity. A greedy person would keep silent so there would be more for them to get at the stores.
3. Brandi went out on the LAST day of the sale….so everyone else took advantage of the deal before her and there was STILL plenty for everyone.

Last, but not least, correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t the products on the shelves for PURCHASING? Wouldn’t it be silly to avoid purchasing the products we wanted/needed just in case someone might want to also buy the same product sometime in the near future? Silly me, when we have a need or a want for something we often go to the store and get it.

Be careful Krista, you came off sounding spiteful and jealous.

12 brandie July 12, 2010 at 3:51 pm

Mary: Congrats on winning the Ranch trip from Marlboro last year! Thats Amazing!!! =)

Janine- If I remember correctly the Venus Razor was on facebook. There weren’t many available and they went VERY fast! I’ll keep an eye open to see if anymore of them pop up as freebies! =) Oh…and I tried it yesterday…I think it’s a great product. Don’t know why no one has designed a razor like that before!

Nicole: CVS, Rite Aid, and Target (maybe more stores) all have policies that you can combine a BOGO Free Sale with a BOGO Free Coupon and get two products free.
For instance with the Sobe…say you have 1 BOGO Free Coupon…CVS had a sale for BOGO Free Sobe, CVS essentially paid for the first Sobe, then you use the BOGO Free Coupon and the coupon manufacturer is paying for the second one. You get two free! =)

13 Laura July 12, 2010 at 4:05 pm

WOW…I have to say to a certain person, if you don’t have anything nice to say, DON’T SAY IT AT ALL. It’s noones business how many of what you buy. Thanks Brandie for all your hard work!

14 Jennifer July 12, 2010 at 5:25 pm

I think someone put this very well when the defined greed and then also pointed out that making assumptions before you know all the facts is not right. It is clear that what Brandie did was neither greedy nor selfish, especially given the fact that she was handing out additional comments instead of them using them herself. I think your comment, Krista, would be better suited for the people at ToysRus on Black Friday that are buying 6 plus xboxes or playstations that are on sale so that they can resale them for financial gain…instead of letting the people that actually want to get them for their kids get them because by the time all those selfish people make it out of the line they are all sold out. I know that no one person needs more than one of those things per house…or if you have the money per tv…but people with that much money dont go to black friday sales do they!
I have to say, that I personally know Brandie…went to high school with her and all that jazz. I think your comment about her being greedy or selfish was completely unjustified, and if you truly feel that way about her then you should not be reading her blog to get the deals she so selfishly shares with you. When you take advantage of the same deals as she does then you are no better than her as far as action. Also if the limit per transaction is 6, and you got 10…you would also be guilty of being excessive…I am just saying!

15 brandie July 12, 2010 at 5:28 pm

Awwww Jennifer! You’re on my blog! =) So sweet!!! I hope you find lots of freebies and deals that you like!!!!

Thanks for the comment and sticking up for me. Can I perhaps offer you a free Sobe Lifewater? =) LOL.

16 allison anderson July 12, 2010 at 5:35 pm

18 Sarah July 13, 2010 at 5:20 am

How did you get the free Fekkai glossing cream???
I use it everyday and it’s so expensive!

19 jalee7978 July 13, 2010 at 9:30 pm

The sunscreen was for a product test. The Fekkai was a facebook giveaway that was for the first 100 people. They were gone in like 30 seconds.

20 Sarah July 14, 2010 at 4:21 am

22 brandie July 18, 2010 at 9:08 am

Can you give me an example of a specific post that you are having issues with?

23 Lori July 30, 2010 at 1:06 pm

I posted this before but I can’t find my original post! What I want to know is how many coupons will CVS accept at the register at one time? The coupon says “only one coupon per purchase”. Brandi, did you have to go in 60 times? LOL…how did you work that?
Thank s :)
